Hitler May Get His Mini
What if Hitler had gone to trial in Nuremberg?
That’s what German author Michael Grandt sets out to explore in “Das Hitler Tribunal” (“The Hitler Tribunal”), an 800-page tome doing the rounds at Mip TV. Backers are looking for parties interested in turning the book into a miniseries. “The Hitler Tribunal’s” fictional premise is that Hitler survives. He is arrested by the Soviet Army before he can take his life and has to stand trial. Based on extensive research, “The Hitler Tribunal” otherwise employs factual accounts and statements made during the real-life event. “The Hitler Tribunal” is the first in a series of four books from Grandt, all of which will deal with four crimes the author accuses Hitler of perpetrating. “Along with Julius Caeser and Napoleon, Hitler is still one of the most mind-boggling characters in history,” said Rainer Bienger who is repping the book through his Wheel Medien shingle. Released at the Frankfurt Book Fair in October, “The Hitler Tribunal” is published by Gryphon. (L. Foreman)
